Cross Country Education is seeking a compassionate Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in La Plata, MD, to develop individualized interventions, strengthen positive behavior supports, and promote student growth throughout the school community.

Position Overview 

• Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), develop and monitor Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), and analyze behavioral data to evaluate student progress and intervention effectiveness.
• Provide behavioral consultation, technical assistance, and coaching to school staff to support consistent implementation of evidence-based interventions and positive behavior supports.
• Train and guide teachers, paraprofessionals, and behavioral support personnel on behavior management, data collection, de-escalation, and crisis prevention strategies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support IEPs, behavioral planning, special education compliance, and safe, inclusive learning environments.

Qualifications 

• Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field
• Active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Certification
• Current Maryland Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) License (or eligibility)
• Experience conducting FBAs, developing BIPs, analyzing behavioral data, and coaching school staff preferred; knowledge of MTSS, IDEA, and school-based behavioral interventions strongly preferred
