Position Overview:

• Available Openings: Earth Science (1) and ENL Push-in for Global/Living Environment (1)
• Deliver intensive, standards-based exam preparation in Earth Science or provide targeted ENL push-in support for Global History and Living Environment.
• Administer practice Regents exams and utilize dedicated planning time to analyze student data, identifying specific "power standards" for remediation.
• Facilitate interactive learning sessions using SMART Board technology and student laptops to visualize scientific phenomena or support language acquisition.
• Lead small-group interventions to provide individualized support to students performing below the passing threshold.

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (Required)
  • Master’s Degree (Preferred)
• New York State Teaching Certification in Earth Science, Living Environment, or ENL (Preferred)
• At least one (1) year of classroom experience with a "Proficient" or "Distinguished" Danielson rating
• Experience preparing students for NYS Regents exams and success within diverse or urban school settings
