Position Overview: 

• Deliver engaging, high-quality mathematics instruction to students in grades 9–12, tailoring lesson plans to meet diverse learning needs and foster academic growth.
• Manage daily classroom operations and curriculum implementation with the initiative to address student needs and classroom challenges independently.
• Actively participate in staff meetings and department collaborations, contributing to a cohesive team environment and the school mission.
• Facilitate daily office hours (3:30 pm – 4:00 pm) to provide one-on-one tutoring, clarify complex concepts, and offer personalized academic guidance.

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
• Valid New York City Teaching Certificate (Preferred)
  • Alternatively: Non-Certified candidates must hold a minimum of 12 credits in Mathematics and provide an official transcript
• 1-2 years of teaching experience within high school mathematics, with a proven track record of conveying complex subject matter
• Prior experience within a diverse or urban school setting (Preferred)
