Cross Country Education is seeking a highly skilled Special Education Teacher for a rewarding and rare opportunity in Montebello, CA. Take the lead as the Special Education Assessment Teacher to evaluate our youngest learners and empower the foundation of their future success for the second semester of the '25-'26 school year!
Position Overview:
- Conduct comprehensive, multi-disciplinary assessments for pre-school-aged students, with required proficiency in utilizing the Brigance Diagnostic Inventory of Early Development.
- Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and detailed assessment reports that clearly document present levels of performance and recommend appropriate goals and services.
- Lead and facilitate all aspects of IEP meetings with parents, general education staff, and administrators to review assessment findings and finalize educational plans.
- Travel frequently to various private schools and district locations to complete assessments and effectively manage the caseload.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education or a related field
- Valid California Special Education Teaching Credential (Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Severe
- Valid California Autism Certification and an English Learner (EL) authorization or equivalent
- Prior experience testing and assessing pre-school aged children within an educational setting
