Position Overview

• Provide one-on-one nursing care to a preschool student throughout the school day, ensuring the student’s health, safety, and well-being.
• Monitor the student’s medical needs, including diabetes management, and respond appropriately to changes in health status or medical emergencies.
• Administer medications, provide first aid, and perform nursing interventions in accordance with physician orders and school health protocols.
• Collaborate with school staff and families to support the student’s medical needs and maintain accurate health documentation.

Qualifications 

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Nursing
• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Current American Heart Association CPR and First Aid Certification
• Knowledge of pediatric nursing and pediatric diabetes management required; experience caring for school-aged children preferred
