Cross Country Education is looking for several dedicated Occupational Therapists to join a vibrant summer school program in the Greater Grayslake, IL area. This is your chance to help students from Early Childhood through 12th grade maintain their independence and hit their functional goals—all while enjoying a convenient 4-day schedule that leaves your Fridays free for the best of the season!
Position Overview:
- Provide specialized occupational therapy services to a diverse caseload of students (Early Childhood through 12th Grade) during a focused summer session.
- Partner with the summer academic team to incorporate fine motor, sensory, and self-regulation goals into the students' daily routines and summer curriculum.
- Tailor interventions to meet the needs of an undetermined program type, focusing on maintaining student progress and functional independence in a low-caseload environment.
- Manage all end-of-session documentation and progress reporting, with extended hours provided on the first and last days of the program.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Valid Illinois Occupational Therapist (OT) License
- Prior experience working with a wide age range of students, from Early Childhood (EC) through 12th Grade, within an educational or pediatric setting
- Strong ability to work alongside educators and support staff to modify environments for student success
