Cross Country Education is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to make a real impact in a supportive school environment in Norwalk, CT. Join our team of Special Education Teachers to help students with diverse learning needs thrive for the '25-'26 school year!
Position Overview:
- Deliver specialized, highly-structured instruction and services to a self-contained caseload of 7 fourth-grade students, ensuring the full implementation of all Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.
- Develop, implement, and track instructional and behavioral management strategies, utilizing systematic data collection to continuously monitor student progress and inform instructional adjustments.
- Collaboratewith parents and interdisciplinary school staff to integrate consistent support and ensure successful student outcomes across academic and developmental goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master's Degree
- Valid Connecticut Special Education Teacher Certification (#165) (Required)
- Orton-Gillingham (OG) certification or Reading Specialist endorsement (Preferred due to the need to teach several academic areas, including reading intervention)
