Position Overview:
- Deliver specialized instruction to students aged 3-5, developing comprehensive lesson plans aligned with district curriculum and best practices.
- Design, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs) for academic and social-emotional growth, adapting instruction based on student needs.
- Utilize diverse teaching methods, instructional materials, and formative/summative assessments to track student progress and inform instruction.
- Cultivate a positive and well-managed classroom environment, promoting student engagement, constructive feedback, and active family communication.
Qualifications:
- Valid IL Professional Educator License with Special Education (LBSI) and Bilingual (BSPA) endorsements
- Or an ELS (TBE) license with a passed TLP Spanish test
- Possess strong proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing Spanish fluently
- Knowledge of Google Classroom applications, WIDA and Common Core State Standards, instructional best practices in language, literacy, and mathematics, and skill in facilitating IEP meetings.
