Position Overview:
- Lead a self-contained "SUCCESS" classroom for Grades 3-5, managing a caseload that may increase to 10-12 students with diverse special education needs.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), utilizing IEP Direct software to monitor students' progress to make evidence-based adjustments to tailor individual goals.
- Deliver specialized instruction and academic interventions, maintaining strong classroom management and collaborating closely with classroom aides and support staff to ensure a safe and effective learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Valid Connecticut Special Education Certification with a 165 Endorsement (Required)
- Prior experience teaching and managing a self-contained elementary or intermediate special education classroom (Grades 3-5)
