Position Overview:
- Develop and deliver engaging, rigorous curriculum for 10th and 11th-grade ELA, including Advanced Placement (AP) and NY State Regents preparation.
- Administer and analyze assessment data to provide targeted feedback and adapt methods to meet diverse learning needs.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and inclusive environment that fosters academic growth.
- Engage in the school community as a proactive and collaborative member of the educational team, contributing to a positive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
- New York City Teaching Certificate (Preferred)
- Non-Certified candidates must hold a minimum of 12 credits in ELA and provide an official transcript
- 1-2 years of high school teaching experience; specific experience with AP English Language Arts (Highly Preferred)
- Prior experience within a diverse or urban school setting
