Cross Country Education is seeking a passionate Special Education Teacher (SPED) to support a high-impact classroom in Hawthorne, CA for the remaining 2025 - 2026 school year.

Position Overview: 

  • Direct a high school classroom of apprx.15 students supported by a dedicated team of 4 paraeducators.
  • Deliver 4 periods of academic instruction (ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies) using the N2Y/Unique Learning System (ULS) curriculum.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), focusing on functional academics, daily living, and pre-employment skills for students up to age 21.
  • Utilize automated tracking tools to manage accommodations and progress, includes 1 dedicated daily prep period.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree
    • Master’s Degree in Special Education (Preferred)
  • Valid Education Specialist Instruction Credential: Mod/Severe (or ESN) with EL Certification
  • Previous experience with Unique Learning System (ULS) and SymbolStix (Highly Preferred)
