Position Overview: 

  • Full inclusion program co-teaching and pushing into the general education classroom to support students and collaborate with teachers
  • 7:30 AM-4:00 PM Monday-Friday
  • High School Students

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Developing goals to increase student achievement
  • Utilize effective strategies to check for understanding for all scholars to best support in the classroom
  • Adhere to all IEP and legal timelines, organization on caseload with all scholar files

Qualifications: 

  • Holds a valid CA Education Specialist Credential (mild/moderate)
  • Pass a criminal background check
  • Prior experience in Special Education preferred, with an understanding of development and implementation of individualized education plans. 
  • At least 2 years of full-time relevant subject teaching experience in an urban, underserved community preferred
  • Bilingual speaking, reading, and writing (Spanish or Vietnamese) preferred
  • Leadership, counseling, or the ability to teach enrichment classes preferred
