Position Overview:
- Resource Teacher (Part-Time)
- Deliver specialized, small-group instruction to K–2 students to meet specific literacy and numeracy Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.
- Oversee the documentation of student progress and ensure all classroom accommodations are legally compliant.
- Behavior Support Teacher (Full-Time)
- Implement proactive Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and de-escalation strategies for students with significant social-emotional needs.
- Create a specialized classroom structure that prioritizes emotional regulation alongside foundational learning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid South Carolina Certification in Multi-Categorical Special Education (ED, MD, EMD, or TMD/Severe also accepted)
- Demonstrated experience working with the K–2 student population in a high-support setting
