Are you a dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired looking to help students achieve their full potential? Cross Country Education invites you to join our team to provide specialized services to K-12 students in the welcoming community of Lawndale, CA for the '25-'26 school year!

Position Overview: 

  • TVI duties are lesson planning, instruction, assessment, and classroom management with specialized roles, including adapting materials (tactile maps, low-vision devices).
  • Fostering independence in Orientation & Mobility (O&M) skills, collaborating with other specialists (O&M, Transcribers, Counselors).
  • Creating inclusive, accessible learning environments for students with vision loss, all while serving as a mentor and role model. 
  • Traveling required. Will be reimbursed for mileage if travels to multiple schools in a single day. 

Qualifications: 

  • Education Specialist Credential in Visual Impairments 
  • Proficiency in teaching current best practices for compensatory skills
