Position Overview:
- Manage five distinct special education classes for the remainder of the school year, providing high-quality, research-based instruction to diverse student needs.
- Develop, implement, and monitor compliant Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), including writing measurable goals, tracking progress, and ensuring delivery of all mandated services.
- Maintain meticulous student data using IEP Direct or similar systems, ensuring accurate record-keeping and reporting for progress monitoring and annual reviews.
- Collaborate with general education staff across school sites to facilitate co-teaching, implement modifications/accommodations, and ensure student success in the least restrictive environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Valid Connecticut Special Education Certification (Code 165) (Required)
- Proven experience utilizing IEP data collection software such as IEP Direct or comparable systems (Preferred)
- Prior experience working in a public school setting and a willingness to transition to another school within the district if required (Preferred)
