Cross Country Education is seeking a compassionate and skilled Special Education Teacher in Puyallup, WA to provide individualized instruction, foster an inclusive learning environment, and help students make meaningful academic and behavioral progress.

Position Overview

  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs while ensuring compliance with applicable federal and state special education requirements.
  • Provide specialized instruction, curriculum adaptations, accommodations, and behavioral supports based on individual student needs.
  • Monitor student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and communicate effectively with families and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Collaborate with educators and support professionals to create a structured, inclusive, and positive learning environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • Active Washington Educational Staff Associate (ESA) Certification with a Special Education Endorsement
  • Experience in resource, inclusion, or self-contained classrooms; familiarity with intensive needs populations and behavioral intervention strategies preferred
