Position Overview:
- Design and implement engaging instruction within a self-contained Grade 4-5 classroom, ensuring all lesson plans are aligned with the district curriculum and modified to meet diverse student needs.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), utilizing both formative and summative assessments to track academic and social/emotional progress and inform instructional adjustments.
- Partner with families, administrators, and service providers to communicate student progress and ensure comprehensive support in both the school and home environments.
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Learning Behavior Specialist I (LBS1) endorsement (Required)
- Prior experience planning and implementing engaging instruction within a self-contained, cross-categorical classroom setting, preferably at the elementary or middle-grade level
- Proficiency in Spanish to to support communication with students and families (Preferred)
