Cross Country Education is seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers to provide individualized instruction and meaningful support for middle and high school students in Philadelphia, PA throughout the 2026–2027 school year.
Position Overview
- Deliver individualized instruction and support to middle and high school students with diverse learning, behavioral, emotional, and functional needs in specialized classroom settings.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), assess student progress, and adjust instruction using evidence-based practices.
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, families, and school staff to create a positive, inclusive learning environment that promotes student success.
- Support students' academic, social-emotional, behavioral, and functional development while maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring compliance with special education requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field
- Valid Pennsylvania K–12 Special Education Certification
- Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs in a special education setting
- Experience in emotional support, autism support, functional life skills, or highly individualized (1:1) instruction preferred
