Position Overview: 

• Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) by modifying assignments and providing one-on-one academic coaching in a full resource room.
• Help students navigate a rigorous, arts-based curriculum, ensuring they stay focused on complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
• Provide "pacing" assistance and behavioral interventions to maintain student engagement and emotional regulation.
• Facilitate a structured environment by managing transitions, organizing materials, and tracking student timeliness.

Qualifications: 

• Associate’s Degree, 48+ college credits, OR a passing ParaPro exam score
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a secondary (high school) academic environment
• Prior experience or knowledge assisting with IEPs and adapting curriculum for diverse learning styles
