Discover your next big opportunity in the Pikes Peak Region! Cross Country Education is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support elementary students with student-specific needs (SSN) in the Colorado Springs, CO area for the 2026-2027 school year.
Position Overview:
- Provide individualized 1:1 support for students with student-specific needs (SSN), including behavioral, academic, medical, and safety interventions.
- Implement behavior support plans and individualized accommodations to help students meet academic, social, and functional goals.
- Support students requiring specialized assistance, including mobility, feeding, toileting, and elopement-prevention services.
- Adapt instruction and learning activities to meet the unique needs of elementary students (Grades K-5).
- Collaborate with families, multidisciplinary teams, and paraprofessionals to ensure consistent, high-quality student support.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or a related field
- Valid Colorado CDE Initial or Professional Teacher License with a Special Education Generalist endorsement
- Experience supporting students with intensive behavioral, medical, or individualized academic needs in a school-based setting
