Position Overview:
- Provide a tailored curriculum for deaf or hard of hearing K-12 students, implementing assistive listening devices and other communication technologies.
- Create and manage IEPs to meet each student's unique needs in language, communication, and academics.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on related issues and best practices involving the Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.
Qualifications:
- NYSED Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (All Grades) Certification
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Deaf Education or related field
- Experience with ASL and assistive listening technologies
