Position Overview: 

• Provide intensive, flexible counseling and support to students with complex barriers, including those facing homelessness, poverty, family insecurity, and mild-to-moderate SPED learning deficits.
• Address truancy and re-engagement by proactively seeking out and supporting high-risk students (truants and dropouts) to return to school and successfully complete their education.
• Partner with staff and community resources to identify and dismantle barriers to students' attendance and success, providing holistic support for academic, emotional, and social well-being.

Qualifications: 

• Master of Social Work (MSW) Degree 
• Valid Illinois Social Worker License (LSW or LCSW)
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Worker Endorsement
• Ability to travel between and support two Chicago campuses
• Experience working with high-risk youth or similar populations facing extreme challenges such as poverty, homelessness, and family insecurity
