Are you an experienced Sign Language Interpreter ready to be an essential link in a student's educational journey? Cross Country Education is seeking a dedicated Sign Language Interpreter to join our team for the '25-'26 school year in the York and Littletown areas of Pennsylvania!
 
Position Overview: 

  • Provide accurate and effective in-person sign language interpretation to ensure inclusive communication for Deaf / Hard of Hearing students, their peers, and staff.
  • Leverage expertise in Deaf culture and education to actively promote student independence and foster academic and social success.
  • Consult and coordinate with the Individualized Education Program (IEP) team, teachers, and families to align interpreting services with educational goals.

Qualifications: 

  • Pennsylvania Sign Language Interpreter Certification
  • Strong background in Deaf Education and experience working in a school setting
  • National Interpreter Certification (NIC) from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) or similar (Preferred)
