Position Overview: 

  • Itinerant, in-person position requiring travel to multiple schools to serve students across all grade levels.
  • Deliver comprehensive orientation and mobility (O&M) services to students with visual impairments, providing both direct and indirect support as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Conduct O&M evaluations and re-evaluations to determine students’ needs and eligibility for services.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field (Required)
  • Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist (COMS) certification from the Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabilitation and Education Professionals (ACVREP) (Required)
