Position Overview: 

  • Provide a tailored curriculum for deaf or hard of hearing K-12 students, implementing assistive listening devices and other communication technologies.
  • Create and manage IEPs to meet each student's unique needs in language, communication, and academics.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on related issues and best practices involving the Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Deaf Education or related field
  • NYSED Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (All Grades) Certification
  • Experience with ASL and assistive listening technologies
