Position Overview: 

• Provide direct support to the classroom teacher by reinforcing academic instruction and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and Behavior Support Plans (BSPs).
• Implement behavior strategies, using ABA methods, to address and document student disruptive, repetitive, and non-functional behaviors to ensure IEP goals are met.
• Assist students with vocational, social, and independent living skills development, including food preparation, shopping, and community learning activities.
• Provide essential direct personal care to students, including assisting with eating, hygiene, toileting, physical positioning, and the use of adaptive devices.

Qualifications: 

• Completion of at least 48 semester college units or an Associate's Degree
• Possession of a valid California Driver's License
• Minimum of six months of supervised experience working directly with children or adolescents with special needs, specifically those exhibiting challenging emotional or behavioral characteristics
• Foundational knowledge of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) and proficiency in collecting accurate behavioral data (Preferred)
