Position Overview:
- Develop and deliver highly individualized, standards-aligned instruction to high-risk students (Grades 9-12), tailoring lessons and materials for diverse learning styles.
- Lead the development, implementation, and review of compliant and comprehensive Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with families and support teams.
- Implement data-driven interventions to actively engage high-truancy students, strategically addressing systemic barriers (e.g., poverty, family insecurity) to foster consistent school attendance and academic success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Learning Behavior Specialist I (LBS1) endorsement
- Prior experience working as a Special Education Teacher, ideally with high school students (Preferred)
- Proven ability and experience implementing behavior management and crisis intervention strategies for high-risk or at-promise youth (Preferred)
