Position Overview: 

• Lead a multi-categorical, self-contained classroom for middle school students with diverse special needs to support their growth and independence.
• The Special Education Teacher develops and implements Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to support each student's academic, social, emotional, and functional goals.
• Provide direct differentiated instructions to support individual and small groups of students.

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree
• Valid SC Teaching Certification in Multi-Categorical Special Education or a related field (e.g. Emotional Disabilities, Moderate Disabilities, Elementary / Middle Disabilities, or Trainable Mentally Disabled)
