Cross Country Education is looking for a dedicated School Social Worker passionate about providing critical social-emotional support for High School students in an accelerated academic setting in Forest Park, IL.
Position Overview:
- Facilitate social-emotional learning for a specialized student population within a Math & Science Academy, focusing on a highly manageable caseload of approximately 30 students.
- Oversee the implementation and monitoring of social-emotional goals for students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans.
- Partner closely with an on-site Social Work colleague and academy staff to maintain a "whole-child" approach to student wellness.
- Provide de-escalation support and advocate for student needs within a high-achieving, accelerated academic environment.
Qualifications:
- Master of Social Work (MSW)
- Active Illinois Social Worker License (LSW/LCSW)
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Worker (SSW) endorsement (Required)
- Proven ability to support high-school students in an accelerated or specialized environment
