Position Overview: 

• Provide comprehensive support, and monitor the progress of the academic, social, behavioral, and emotional growth of students across grades 6-12.
• Deliver specialized instruction, particularly specializing in teaching or supporting content within Science, Math, or History.
• Conduct formal and informal assessments to determine student eligibility for services, track progress toward IEP goals, and inform data-driven instructional decisions.
• Partner with general education teachers to design and deliver differentiated instruction strategies that maximize engagement and accessibility in classroom activities.

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's Degree
• Active New York State Certification in Special Education
• Minimum of 3 years of prior experience with Special Education 
• Experience teaching secondary Math, Science, or History, with a proven track record of adapting curriculum to effectively support students with diverse learning needs (Preferred)
