Position Overview:
- Facilitate specialized instruction for a 5th/6th-grade caseload, specifically focusing on co-teaching (inclusion) for reading and direct pull-out support for mathematics.
- Partner with general education teachers to implement inclusive strategies, ensuring students meet their academic goals within the least restrictive environment.
- Develop and implement supports for student behavior and independent functioning, fostering both social-emotional growth and classroom success.
- Lead the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), meticulously collecting progress monitoring data and adjusting strategies to meet individual student needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher
- Valid Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) Teaching License with a Learning Behavior Specialist 1 (LBS1) endorsement
- Experience with co-teaching models, behavior intervention plans (BIPs), and proficiency in school-based databases (Aspen/IMPACT) (Preferred)
