Position Overview:
- Offer a complete range of school social work interventions to students at the elementary level.
- Perform socio-emotional evaluations, offer individual and group counseling, and manage crisis situations when they arise.
- Facilitate access to beneficial school and community resources, empowering students and families towards greater well-being and academic accomplishment.
Qualifications:
- MI Licensed Social Worker (LMSW or LLMSW) with a 310 School Social Worker Certification
- Prior experience with Social Work in the school setting (Preferred)
- Knowledge of relevant state and federal education laws, including IEP and 504 processes.
