Position Overview:
- Provide 1:1 or small-group intervention to support Transitional Kindergarten (TK) and preschool students (ages 4–5) with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), utilizing Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) methodologies to manage challenging behaviors and support student engagement.
- Collect and maintain data on student behavior and performance, using this information to analyze trends and strategically adapt Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs).
- Implement appropriate safety precautions and behavior management strategies with patience and sensitivity, facilitating student success and integration across all educational settings.
- Partner with school staff to align intervention strategies and assist with curriculum modifications for student accessibility while providing physical assistance with daily living activities, including toileting.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a 40-hour seminar or workshop training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) (Required)
- 2+ years of work experience applying ABA techniques with children ages 4–5 (Required)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Child Development, or a related field (Preferred)
- Possess a valid Driver's License and CPI Certification (Preferred)
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development, classroom behavior management, and the specific needs of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
