Position Overview: 

  • Manage a diverse caseload of approximately 20 students (Grades K-8) receiving specialized instruction and support.
  • Deliver and differentiate specialized instruction to high-risk students, customizing lessons and materials to address diverse learning styles and maximize academic progress.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor legally compliant and data-driven Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to ensure appropriate educational goals and services are met.
  • Actively engage high-truancy students and their families to reduce barriers to attendance and foster re-engagement with education, demonstrating sensitivity to underlying challenges such as poverty and family insecurity.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Valid Ohio Special Education Teacher License
  • Prior experience teaching in a Special Education or comparable high-needs setting (Preferred)
    • Alternative option: Previous experience working with students in Grades K-8 or those identified as high-risk/high-truancy is a plus.
