Position Overview:

• Provide specialized academic instruction and related services to K-8 students, and monitor their progress to make instructional adjustments as needed.
• Conduct Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to develop and implement annual IEP goals for a small caseload of five students, while collaborating with school staff and parents regarding student progress, accommodations, and modifications.
• Administer appropriate formal and informal assessments to determine student eligibility, present levels of performance, and educational needs for the IEP process.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree
• Valid California Educational Specialist Instruction Credential in Special Education Mild / Moderate or Specialist Instruction Credential in Special Education - Learning Handicapped
• Experience as a Special Education Teacher within a K-12 setting (Preferred)
