Cross Country Education is looking for a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to help students from Pre-K to 8th grade overcome barriers to learning and achieve independence in the Bridgeport, CT area. Position Overview: 

  • Provide high-quality OT services to a diverse Pre-K–8th grade caseload across 2–3 school campuses.
  • Partner with Lead Occupational Therapists to implement interventions targeting fine motor, sensory-processing, and self-care skills.
  • Maintain meticulous records of student progress toward IEP goals to inform multidisciplinary annual reviews.
  • Modify classroom settings and activities to ensure students can fully participate in the curriculum and daily routines.

Qualifications: 

  • Associate Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Active Connecticut State License as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • Prior experience with the Pre-K–8th grade population, ideally in a school-based setting
  • Strong organizational skills to manage a multi-site, itinerant caseload
