Cross Country Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide essential, one-on-one health support for a student in Wood Dale, IL. Position Overview: 

• Provide continuous 1:1 support for a student with complex needs throughout the school day, including transport to and from home.
• Closely monitor seizure activity and provide immediate assistance as needed, including the use of a Vagal Nerve Stimulator (VNS) and the administration of emergency medications.
• Assist with the safe transfer and positioning of a student who uses a wheelchair and stroller, ensuring comfort and safety across all school settings.
• Partner with teachers and specialists to integrate the student’s health requirements into their classroom and developmental activities.

Qualifications: 

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Certification
• Valid Illinois RN or LPN License
• Proven experience in managing pediatric seizure disorders and a high comfort level with emergency response protocols
• Prior experience working with children who have cognitive/visual impairments and multiple physical disabilities (Strongly Preferred)
