Are you an experienced Special Education Teacher ready to step into a supportive middle school setting? Cross Country Education is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher (LBS1) for a short-term position in Evergreen Park, IL. This role is expected to run through March 2026, with the possibility of extension!

Position Overview:

  • Deliver specially designed instruction and direct services to a 6th-grade caseload, focusing on adapting curriculum and utilizing behavioral strategies to meet individual student needs.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), monitoring student progress and conducting annual/triennial reviews, ensuring compliance with IDEA and state regulations.
  • Partner with school staff and families to ensure student accommodations and IEP goals are consistently implemented.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Special Education
  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Learning Behavior Specialist I (LBS1) endorsement (Required)
  • Prior experience teaching special education at the middle school level (grades 5-8) (Preferred)
