Campus Aide

Our Campus Aides provide supervision for students during noon lunch period or other recesses. They monitor behavior in designated areas of the school and do related work as may be required.

Details:

• $12.00 per hour

• 2 hour shifts, Monday - Friday

General responsibilities:

• Supervise students during the lunch period in cafeteria and lunch areas and on the school grounds and in other designated areas of the school where supervision is required.

• Supervise and assist students during dismissal.

• Assist in keeping the students safe from car traffic during dismissal.

• Report special behavioral problems.

• Encourage and remind students of acceptable behavior.

• Insure that appropriate students are in proper areas.

• See that tables are cleared, maintain order and encourage policing of area.

• Encourage students to participate in organized games and activities.

• Accompany students to bus areas and safely on buses.

• Report any unsafe playground equipment.

• Report all accidents or injuries to proper authority; may give first aid if necessary; instruct students in proper use of playground equip­ment and participation in games.

Minimum Requirements:

Knowledge of:

• Basic school safety rules
• Basic principles of first aid
• Basic understanding of child growth, development

Ability to:

• Supervise children and maintain order
• Maintain acceptable standards of behavior among students
• Work cooperatively with those contacted in the course of work
• Understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
• To lift 45 lbs.
