Position Overview:

  • Looking for a 5th/6th grade special education inclusion teacher.
  • Caseload consists of 7 students with 5 of them having inclusion (co-teaching) support for reading. Another student has direct pull-out math supports, and the final student receives independent functioning and inclusion math supports for behavior.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution of higher education
  • A valid teaching license issued by the Illinois State Board of Education with the Learning Behavior Specialist 1 (LBS1) endorsement 
  • Experience in the following: Co-teaching strategies Writing IEPs Collecting progress monitoring data Developing behavior plans (Preferred)
