Cross Country Education is seeking a dedicated English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher to join our team for the '25-'26 school year and help foster an inclusive, high-achievement environment in the San Antonio, TX area!
Position Overview:
- Deliver targeted English as a Second Language (ESL) services to 6th-12th grade students individually or in small groups to support their academic English development and ELAR subject matter.
- Oversee the campus ESL program, which includes coordinating assessments such as TELPAS, facilitating parent meetings, supporting classroom teachers with accommodations, and maintaining 100% program compliance.
- Collaborate with the ESL Coordinator to develop lesson plans, adapt curriculum, and set individualized classroom accommodations for identified emergent bilingual students.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Valid Texas Fingerprint Card
- Valid Texas Content Area Certification for Grades 6+
- Valid Texas English as a Second Language (ESL) Certification/Endorsement covering all grade levels
- 2+ years of teaching experience with a preference for prior experience specifically as an ESL teacher (Strongly Preferred)
