Position Overview: 

• Lead classroom instruction for grades 7, 8, or High School Science by independently identifying student needs and implementing modifications without direct supervision.
• Create and execute Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that ensure students with diverse learning needs meet rigorous academic standards.
• Partner with general education teachers, families, and students to track progress and ensure a cohesive, high-achieving learning environment.

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
• Valid New York State Teaching Certificate in Special Education (Required)
• 3+ years of experience in special education with a background in managing middle or high school classrooms (Preferred)
