Position Overview 

• Provide specialized instruction in a self-contained elementary Life Skills classroom for students with moderate to severe disabilities.
• Develop and implement individualized instruction and classroom supports aligned with students’ IEP goals.
• Monitor student progress, maintain required documentation, and collaborate with school staff and families to support student development and success.
• Create a structured, supportive classroom environment that promotes academic, behavioral, communication, and functional skill development.

Qualifications 

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field
• Valid Texas Special Education Certification with appropriate authorization for elementary grades K–5
• Valid Texas Content Area or Generalist Certification for grades 1–5
• Experience supporting students with moderate to severe disabilities and/or in a self-contained special education setting preferred
