Position Overview: 

• Develop and execute rigorous, standards-aligned unit and weekly lesson plans tailored to the academic needs and developmental interests of 6th-grade Math or 8th-grade Science students.
• Foster a developmentally appropriate and highly conducive learning environment that reflects a commitment to academic excellence and student leadership.
• Monitor student progress by utilizing diagnostic assessment tools regularly to identify individual learning gaps, implementing targeted interventions or acceleration strategies to ensure all students meet mastery.
• Employ a diverse range of instructional techniques and media consistent with best practices to engage various learning styles and capabilities within the classroom.

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
• Valid Tennessee Teaching License with the appropriate subject area endorsement (Required)
• 2+ years of teaching experience, particularly within an urban or charter school setting (Highly Preferred)
