Make a lasting difference in the lives of students in Brea, CA! Cross Country Education is seeking a skilled and compassionate Behavior Interventionist to provide individualized behavioral support in a K–12 school setting throughout the 2026–2027 school year.

Position Overview

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 behavioral support to a high school student with significant behavioral needs.
  • Implement behavior intervention strategies and crisis-prevention techniques in accordance with the student’s support plan.
  • Provide behavioral and instructional support to an additional kindergarten student as needed.
  • Collaborate with school staff to promote student safety, engagement, positive behavior, and participation in the classroom.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2+ years of professional experience as a Behavior Interventionist (BII), preferably supporting students with significant behavioral needs
  • Active CPI Certification is required
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Experience applying crisis-prevention and de-escalation techniques strongly preferred
