Position Overview: 

  • Serve as an intermediate self-contained Special Education Teacher to students in grades 4-5.
  • Plan and implement engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons modified for students' individual needs.
  • Develop and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), assessing student progress toward learning outcomes and IEP goals.
  • Provide differentiated instructions and use various teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.

Qualifications: 

  • IL Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) endorsement
  • Previous experience in Special Education (Preferred)
