Ready to bring your expertise to the charming, "welcoming heart" of Maryland? Cross Country Education is looking for a dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired to join our K-12 team in beautiful Bel Air, MD. Come be the spark that helps students thrive for the 2025-2026 school year!

Position Overview: 

  • Join a robust team that includes four full-time Teachers of the Visually Impaired and a dedicated O&M Specialist to help promote student academic and functional independence.
  • Provide direct essential itinerant TVI services to K-12 students across the district, requiring travel between sites.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and providing specialized instruction in Braille, screen readers, low vision aids, and compensatory skills.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Special Education or Visual Impairments
  • Active Maryland Teacher of the Blind and Visually Impaired Certification (TVI)
  • Proficiency in teaching current best practices for compensatory skills
