Cross Country Education is looking for a dedicated School Social Worker passionate about providing critical social-emotional support for elementary students in Denver, CO.
 
Position Overview: 

  • Deliver mandated counseling minutes for a K-5 caseload of approximately 30–35 students, supporting those with IEPs, 504 plans, and general education safety planning.
  • Partner with a robust support team, including another school social worker, a school psychologist, and behavior interventionists, to provide a stable, "whole-child" educational environment.
  • Utilize de-escalation and positive behavior strategies to analyze data and develop individualized social-emotional goals and benchmarks.

Qualifications: 

  • Active Colorado CDE Special Services Provider (SSP) License
    • Minimum: LSW + graduate-level coursework in Special Education
  • Prior school-based experience with elementary students, including IEP/504 goal writing and de-escalation
  • Spanish bilingual skills to support the local community (Highly Preferred)
