Position Details
We are looking for a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher (DHH) who is available 9/15/20-6/4/2021.

Special Notes

Cross Country Education is looking for a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of hearing for a 5 day/30 hour per week position in a local school district. This position will service 20 students at multiple sites.

Essential Job Functions: Coordinate and participate in the identification, assessment, instructional planning and referral process of D/HH students Assess students initially and triennially in the areas of academic achievement, listening behavior, language, and communication and make recommendations for Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and objectives in corresponding areas. Participate with members of the IEP team (parents, teachers, principals and other staff, psychologists, nurses, audiologists, and Hearing Aid Dealers) to provide the students appropriate services. Plan and implement instructional supports for students to meet assessed student needs while integrating IEP goals and objectives. Provide and monitor specialized materials and/or equipment for students for use in the classroom.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Education Specialist Instruction Credential with DHH authorization.
