Position Overview

• Provide dedicated 1:1 nursing care to an elementary student with complex medical needs, including ventilator and tracheostomy support, G-tube feedings, and supplemental oxygen as needed.
• Monitor respiratory status, vital signs, and overall health while providing safe ventilator and tracheostomy management and responding appropriately to changes in the student’s condition.
• Assist with daily care, mobility, transfers, and positioning, including safely supporting a student weighing 80+ pounds.
• Maintain accurate health documentation and collaborate with school staff and the student’s healthcare team to promote safety, comfort, and participation throughout the school day.

Qualifications 

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Active and current California Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Minimum of 1 year of hands-on nursing experience with ventilator support and tracheostomy care required
• Experience providing 1:1 care to medically complex pediatric patients, including G-tube feeding and oxygen management, strongly preferred
